Mala is also registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She holds qualifications in Psychology, Education, Nutrition Research and Counselling. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and a member of the Mental Health Professionals Network in the Hills District.

Her passion has been to promote and facilitate Emotional Literacy and Multiple Intelligence based learning. In her defined career, Mala has trained with the famous American Clinical Psychologist, Dr Maggie Phillips for Somatic Experiencing (SE). Somatic Experiencing is designed to teach the art and science of working with the wisdom and resources of the body to heal mind-body symptoms while reversing the effects of psychological and physical trauma. Her specialized training also extends to training with the Australian Guru of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dr Russell Harris for Mindfulness and ACT. ACT is one of the recent mindfulness based behaviour therapies shown to be effective with a diverse range of clinical conditions.
She has also trained with the Internationally Known and Respected Clinical Psychologist MICHAEL D. YAPKO, Ph.D and Alistair Horsecroft, Internationally recognised by T.V shows as The Life Guru of Discovery Health Channel for her hypnotherapy skills and Dr Dan Siegel in the area of Brain Plasticity and Mindsight Psychology.
