What happens when you see a psychologist?
The first appointment is an assessment session where the psychologist gathers background information to gain an understanding of your concerns by exploring thoughts, emotions and behaviour by asking questions about the background of the problem. You may be asked to fill out questionnaires where appropriate. In the subsequent appointments, the psychologist works with the client on strategies to improve areas of concern.
